BAM (Business as Mission) Global Movement

#13 From the book (CHAPTER 7. GOD RESTORES THE MARKETPLACE)

The Gospel Message Takes Place in Real Life
The gospel message is meant to be lived out in the here and now, through applying values such as accountability and generosity, where we live and work.

Accountability and Generosity: how do you think about these two metric?

As a person who has a “vision” to become a “Bible” teacher, would not your first focus be to learn all you can about the Bible? You cannot teach what you do not know.

Today I heard from one church brother said something who is doing business to support church need: doing business is a position of servant to serve those who do mission work.

In this secular world, if we make money, we easy to put ourselves at a position to give. But as businessman, we are a position to serve those who are doing mission.

Even though it looks like those who do mission work is at a position of receiving. Actually they are the true owner. Everything is for mission including making money.

If our purpose of making money is not for our need first but for His Kingdom, our conscious is peaceful. Even we make a lot of money, but most of the time, we live a very simple life ourselves. This poverty is holy poverty.

If we want to be rich ourselves and then only when we have extra, we would donate to church, it is not very beautiful in God’s eyes.

God can’t be honored through our work.
