Is Porn sin?

I knew some people who thought watching porn is not a sin. This article talks about the sin of pornography and the other sins that you grow with you when you watch porn.

This is a really good article. It is not someone merely “going off” on those who watch porn, it is someone carefully and Biblically spelling out why porn is more than one sin, but many. WORTH READING!

YES! Pornography is a sin. Its a Lust. You are doing some bad or sexual imagination to make you feel better. But in God’s Eye its a sin. Don’t hook up with this too much . We must wait after marriage i know its hard to resist but save the Best for last!.

Hello, dear @Moses_C
Of course it’s a sin… People can say anything or change the subject/angle, but it’s obvious that’s its sinful. Being honest, everyone has seen some way or form of pornography, be it curiously at young age or succumb by lust. That’s the thing, the society has become an slave of lust, following and transforming everything to revolve around sex. The first part is to accept that is wrong, then we can start to change our view and those around us. Sex is part of us humans, but there’s a reason why God wants us to wait until marriage, to signify and understand the meaning of it.
Kind regards, Luis Guerrero.

The simple answer again is Yes that God does not forbid things that are good for us, but He does forbid things that are harmful. Here’s the longer answer: God designed both marriage and the human mind. The marriage union involves both physical faithfulness and mental faithfulness. The choice to be faithful or unfaithful begins in the mind, with our thought processes. If we are unfaithful in our mind lusting after what is not ours through pornography or other means it is impossible for us to remain fully committed to our marriage relationship and family.

Yes it a sin. Over and over, the Bible makes it clear that we are to avoid sexual immorality because it has a lasting residual effect. The images stay in our minds, it creates soul ties, it changes how we view sex, how we treat women, and it rewires our brains. Porn is worse than any drug ingested because the more we watch, the more we want. Just as a drug user must consume greater quantities of drugs or more powerful drugs to achieve the same “high,” pornography drags a person deeper and deeper into hard-core sexual addictions and ungodly desires.

I agree with @zayn22 and @Paulo_Juamis. The longer and the more you watch it will change how you perceive things and can affect how you treat other people.

@Moses_C in my opinion watching porn is really a No No! many relationships are broken because of this LUST! Pornography triggers our sexual fulfilment to do it just like what in the pornsite , even if it is not with our partner (im talking about legal partner (spouse). it even poisons the mentality of our teenagers regarding sex , it also leads teenagers with pre -maritel sex, sex is very sacred thing that only for married couples.

A very good article and biblical as well. This is a very timely reminder for us especially now that we are all living in a digital world. Access to this kinds of materials is very easy and very tempting, it is popping out everywhere. With this article what we thought before as just a simple sin of lust is more than what it should have been. Making us realize that being hooked to this will really have a lasting effect on us and with our relationship with God.

This is one of the hard questions I encountered here. For me, I really think that porn is a sin because it pollutes our minds. It exposes us to an opportunity to be tempted to do sinful actions that we might regret in the end. The price of sin is guilt, and it’s not a good feeling.

A new video out on this topic that is very helpful
