God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all for t the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Then God said, for Adam was formed first, and then Eve. “Let Us make man in Our image, and it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman who was deceived and fell into transgression. Women, however, will be saved through childbearing, if they continue in faith, love, and holiness, with self-control. after Our likeness, to rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, and over all the earth itself and every creature that crawls upon it.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them and by their fruit you will recognize them. However, there are some of you who do not believe.” (For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray Him.) Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Then what will happen if you see the Son of Man ascend to where He was before? No longer will each man teach his neighbor or his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquities and will remember their sins no more.” It will not be like the covenant I made with their fathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt—a covenant they broke, though I was a husband to them,” declares the LORD. “But this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD. I will put My law in their minds and inscribe it on their hearts for they are life to those who find them, and I will be their God, and health to the whole body and they will be My people. The good man brings good things out of the good treasure of his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil treasure of his heart. Guard your heart with all diligence, for from it flow springs of life for out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks. As good stewards of the manifold grace of God, each of you should use whatever gift he has received to serve one another. If anyone speaks, he should speak as one conveying the words of God. Why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ but not do what I say? Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial that has come upon you, as though something strange were happening to you. Put away deception from your mouth; keep your lips from perverse speech If anyone serves, he should serve with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and the power forever and ever.
