Listening is the most important part of communication in any kind of relationship. When we learn to listen, we give someone the chance to express themselves without any interruptions. It shows that we value them enough to give them time to talk. God wants to be involved in our life. He wants to talk to us about everything under the sun. He wants to express His love for us. Listening to Him unlocks marvelous things. Our journey may not be as easy as we expect it to be but it’s all worth it, His messages gives comfort. He will never leave us confused. Listen.
Let me tell you. Jesus is not only the one I preach. He is the One I want. Someone yesterday asked me if I would be here today. I said I would. I said that Communion was being served. And I would be coming hungry and thirsty. I need Him. I want Him in my life. When I am tired and I want healing I need to run to Jesus. Jesus saves. Jesus serves. He will save you if you ask Him. He will serve you, today, if you come to Him. It is just that simple.
Hello @Jenny Yes indeed! Listening to God is like listening to anyone-before you can hear Him, you must be ready to listen. Just as in a conversation, you cannot hear the other person if you are talking or if your mind is distracted. So it is with God. If you want to hear Him speak, you must be quiet and you must be focused on what He is saying. Regular conversation with God can transform your life! Consider identifying a place and time to meet with God everyday.
@Jenny the reason why God gave us 2 ears and 1 mouth. So we could hear what God wants us to tell us important things that we must hear, Commandments that we need to obey. And also that our 3rd ear fully understand - - - our hEARt. As christians we must be slow to speak and ready to listen…
Hello, dear @Jenny
This is what truly differentiate good Christians form the others, we got to listen to the Lord. Faith is not just hearing Jesus teachings, going to the church or even “trying” to do good. No! Faith is much more, is to listen the Lord that is by our side and doing his bidding, doing what’s good, acting by his teachings, helping and loving others. We have to listen and act!
Kind regards, Luis Guerrero.
