Believer, this is who you are:
You are someone who goes out of their way to show kindness to others, even if it’s not reciprocated. You are someone who is gentle, even in moments where you want to be harsh. You are someone who is faithful to your word, when you say “yes I will” you mean it. You are someone who is patient, even if the situation is frustrating. You are someone who spreads peace, even in the face of persecution. You are someone who does good, even in the face of evil.
You are faithful to the Father in heaven, holding fast to the hope that is not a “maybe hope”, but an assured one. You are full of joy at your coming redemption through Jesus, into eternal life with him. You are full of love for others, your brothers and sisters in Christ, even the lost who you seek to tell about the savior.
Sometimes you stumble, and try to be someone you’re not. The enemy seeks to accuse you in those moments, but the Holy Spirit of God works in you! He is your defender, your promise and seal for the coming day of Christ’s return. He comes to your aid and reminds satan that Christ has claimed you and made you as he is in heaven. The enemy cannot accuse our perfect high priest in heaven, and therefore he cannot accuse you either! So the enemy must flee, and the Advocate reminds you of who you really are in the Lord Jesus.
Embrace who you are brothers and sisters, and find rest in the finished work of Jesus Christ. God bless.
