Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe

Reflection from God’s pen

Unlike the other disciples only the doubtful Thomas did asked the savior to see his hands and touch his pierced side. Due to his unbelief to the risen savior, Jesus proclaimed "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

We don’t phisically see Jesus yet we believe. We are therefore the subjects’ of the blessed’ whom Jesus proclaimed, for through faith we remain the Divine connection between our sinful self and the perfect lamb Jesus.

We can be the woman who touched Jesus’ garment then healing responded her faith, or we can also be the doubtful Thomas, but “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed”, saith God.

Hello, dear @Eric
Amen to this reflection brother! Because that what religion is truly about, about faith. See to believe is what is wrong on this world, it’s such a fundamental fallacy, I mean we got 5 senses, why do we measure existence only by sight?
Faith move mountains, only by believing to see, well be able to feel God, and to be truly happy! Because that’s what is about, it would be easier for God to just have us praising him by fear, but he wants us love him as much as he does for us.
Kind regards, Luis Guerrero.

This is what faith is actually all about. Believing on a God who all powerful, all knowing, all loving, and all merciful but silent. In the old testament God directly communicates to His people, may it be in a vision and in an actual conversation. That’s how lucky they were, but in today’s generation God is distant physically but very near to our hearts. This is what He is longing from us, a strong faith that even if we cannot see Him we strongly believe that He is the God who is capable of anything we need and desire.

This is faith, not seeing yet you believe. This just shows how strong you trust and believe in the Lord, you have faith in Him. Even though you have not seen Him physically, deep down in your heart, you believe Him, have respect on Him commandments and live life according to His word.

Thank you for sharing this! Many people always say that they only believe if they see it for themselves. I really disagree to this kind of mindset because I believe that God is with us every step of the way. He will always be by our side guiding us. We feel God’s presence everyday through the wind, people passing by, or even the sound of the cars. God is everywhere. We shall walk by faith and not by sight.
