Can a woman preach in the church?

Can a woman preach in the church, and what are some of the Biblical foundations/cultural reasons for you to believe so?

I think women can preach in church

“1Corinthians14:31 For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged.” It is said here that you may prophesy one by one, both men and women. However, sermons are not sermons that are taught from a pulpit, but are taught in communion with one another using God’s word.

“1Corinthians11:5 And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head–it is just as though her head were shaved.” It is made more clear here that women are permitted to preach, but with a veil over their heads. That is to say there is a limit to women’s preaching. And there are individual prophetess in the bible.

Women can preach, but there are limitations to women’s preaching. According to the arrangement of order, the woman can do the job that teaches a woman or child, but, unfavorable teach a man or administer a man.Sometimes, however, we may consider the practical problems faced by some churches. Although there are individual men in the church, these men are almost ignorant of the truth. In this case, the bible does not seem to specifically explain that ‘in this case, a woman may teach or rule over a man’.Therefore, we can only reasonably infer that women may be able to temporarily exercise the authority to govern and teach. However, it is important to get back to the right order as soon as possible.

yes, of course. We have a lot of women pastors.

Women are not to be pastors.

These are the requirements for church leadership:

1 Timothy 3:1-13
It is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do. 2 An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, 3 not addicted to wine or pugnacious, but gentle, peaceable, free from the love of money. 4 He must be one who manages his own household well, keeping his children under control with all dignity 5 (but if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of the church of God?), 6 and not a new convert, so that he will not become conceited and fall into the condemnation incurred by the devil. 7 And he must have a good reputation with those outside the church, so that he will not fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

8 Deacons likewise must be men of dignity, not double-tongued, or addicted to much wine or fond of sordid gain, 9 but holding to the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. 10 These men must also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons if they are beyond reproach. 11 Women must likewise be dignified, not malicious gossips, but temperate, faithful in all things. 12 Deacons must be husbands of only one wife, and good managers of their children and their own households. 13 For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a high standing and great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.

Obviously, a woman can not be “husbands of only one wife”. This is a big problem in American “carnal” (fleshly, worldly, unsaved) churches, unfortunately.

Also, this does not mean that women are somehow “less” than men.

Galatians 3:28 New International Version (NIV)
28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

The difference between men and women in the church is ROLE. What they are to do according to God’s Word.

Frankly, I think women have the tougher job. They must raise children to know God, to respect their elders, to be obedient to their parents, and to live as God would have them live. That is a daily job. To my way of thinking (and since I am a woman, take that with a grain of salt) the woman’s job is harder than the man’s. But to God, ALL are equal. We just have different roles.

Also, from my own life: I would much rather spend time talking and praying with other women, as their concerns are often closer to my concerns and I just don’t feel comfortable going to a man as a divorced woman for that kind of close comradeship. I will listen to a male Pastor who knows the Bible and preaches from it, but I will not listen to a woman who thinks she is a Pastor over men.

It is okay for women to teach women and children, as @Jianqiu said above.
