Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 51:10
I remember the song that we sing in our organization. The lyrics is taken from this verse. I found a link on youtube and I’ll post it below. “Create in me a pure heart, and put anew spirit within me.” This is one of our desires as children of God. We live in a world that drains our spirit. We have to refuel ourselves every day through the word of God to be able to live a life in grace under pressure.

This prayer is clearly one of repentance and confession, which God desires of us whenever we have become aware of sins that have affected our fellowship with God. When we repent, it means we not only agree with God about the heinous nature of our sin, but we are determining to start over and live a new life one that is obedient and pleasing to God.
