Evangelist Billy Graham Rest in Peace. In Memory 1918-2018

Franklin Graham: My father Billy Graham was once asked, “Where is Heaven?” He replied, “Heaven is where Jesus is and I am going to Him soon!” This morning, at the age of 99, he departed this world into eternal life in Heaven, prepared by the Lord Jesus Christ—the Savior of the world—whom he proclaimed for nearly 80 years. He will be missed by our family, his colleagues, faithful ministry partners, and, yes, many around the world. But what joy he has to be welcomed by God the Father, and be reunited with my mother in the presence of Jesus who speaks peace to eternal souls.

What about you? When you depart this world do you know with certainty where you will spend eternity? You can know this today. Jesus said, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). The One who comforts weary souls has given us this promise, “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me … I go to prepare a place for you … I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:1-3).

Can you imagine what it was like when Billy Graham saw God face to face this morning?

“I’ve been asked so many times lately, do I fear death? No! I look forward to death, with great anticipation. I’m looking forward to seeing God face to face.”
~Billy Graham

Oh what a glorious moment for him…beautiful indeed

These days too… I have come to realize that I do not fear death… I see death as a door to an eternal life. All I pray for is too fulfill ALL am suppose to do on this side of the DOOR. None of us is a mistake after-all… we are all here for a purpose. See you on the golden streets my Great General Billy Graham when like u and Paul… I have finished my race. I salute!!

What an amazing picture he paints with his words, seeing God face to face!

Ever since I was little I have thought God’s eyes would look like Rev Graham’ s, strong, kind, loving and forgiving. So thinking about when they met is an interesting premise to me. Must have been quite the celebration.

I am crying. And this is the first time I have cried with tears of joy of a death. His forever life has started. And WFRN Morning Show did a great dedication song for him. I can only imagine what he is doing now and how that feels. Great man. I wish I knew him

I think y’all misunderstood. I am not sad. It is a joyous thing for Billy to be with the Lord after 99 yrs on earth to be in eternity walking with Jesus. Thank you Jesus!

It’s not a time for sadness, but a time to celebrate. I live in the Charlotte area, his home town, there is local tv coverage. The have talked with several of his family members, including his sister. They are not sad, but rejoicing to know he has gone home. His daughter Ann put put out a statement saying, how much she was going to miss him, but she was not sad.

I am reminded of the song, ‘I can only imagine.’ His true message never wavered, God’s love and the Cross.

This is a sad day for people like me that he motivated. HE was not a God and HE himself never wanted glory. HE was however a great leader of the faith that ministers and Christians could look at when times are tough and still keep running the race. A great example that no matter what the battle is , it was WON at the Cross and the Tomb. God Bless you sir and Thank you that you challenged us to live up to our Lord Jesus standards he set.
