The Word became flesh in the darkness, and the light shines and dwelt among us. Darkness has not overcome it and we have seen his glory, By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh for God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. Concerning his Son, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth who was descended from David according to the flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence.
