God intends prayer to change US. Our persistence allows God the opportunity to shape US

PRAYER CONNECTION
FROM THE WORD: “Commit everything you do to the Lord, Trust Him and He will help you.” Psalm 37:5
THOUGHTS—Of all the things that Jesus teaches about prayer, persistence is high on the list of lessons to be learned. Jesus encourages us never to give up, but to keep on asking, keep on seeking, keep on knocking. Why? Why is persistence so important in prayer? Is it because we need to beg and harass God until He answers us? NO! God longs to exceed our expectations (Check out Luke 11:5-13 and 1 Corinthians 2:9). I believe the answer lies in prayer’s primary purpose. God intends prayer to change US. Our persistence allows God the opportunity to shape US.

Yes, I would also add it helps us develop a personal relationship which is what he desires. We don’t just speak to the people we love when we want something we talk to them about everything
