When God’s covenant people obey Him and have no idols in their lives, God’s promises that their enemies will be destroyed. God’s people should never be afraid or fearful. The Word of God states, " Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight" (v. 8).
God’s people should have no fear, not even in the spiritual battle. Remember the principle in 2 King 6:16,17, where Elisha prayed that his servant’s eyes would be opened to what was happening in the invisible realm: “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them” (v. 16), and “behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire” (v. 17).
God’s people often appear outnumbered and as if all the world is against them. God’s people who are obedient to His Word have supernatural strength on their side. God wants to teach His people never to be afraid in any circumstances and to be bold warriors for God, reaching a lost generation for Jesus Christ.
Hello @FaithinGod Yes! Be assured, He is with you in whatever you face, in the turmoil and struggles, amidst the anxious thoughts and the worries of life. He is there, strengthening, helping, and He holds you in His hands. God is greater. He gives us the power to live courageously, boldly, fearlessly in this life, when many things that surround us would tell us to be afraid. His truth whispers strong and sure to the deepest core of our spirits.
Hello @FaithinGod I agree! God loves us. He’s always looking out for our good. Our Father wants what’s best for his children. He tells us to fear not because no matter how hard things get, they are not too difficult for him. Impossible situations are God’s specialty. Accept the fact that we will go through difficult times. Read Isaiah 43:2, and take courage that we will walk through waters as we bury loved ones, and when the rivers of our finances seem to wash over us, or our fiery trials threaten to burn us, God’s promise is firm. He will be with us. In times of loneliness, or when we suffer physically, God will be with us.
Hi there, @FaithinGod! Thank you for sharing this reflection. This is very timely. Many of us fear for our lives every day in different circumstances. No matter how hard the battle is, we should never give up. The Lord will always be with us and He will give us strength to fight every single day. The Lord wants us to be strong and successful in fighting for what is right and for what is true. Never give up because nothing is impossible with God.
Hello, dear @FaithinGod
Good reflection! I think this is a consequence of how sin has become the norm on the present world… People live in fear all the time and this is why they doubt. Only by having an strong faith and relationship with God we can manage to find that peace that grants the confidence and trust in him and ourselves. That’s what God wants, he loves us! He wants us to feel safe and secure, and with him we’ll always be fine.
Kind regards, Luis Guerrero.
