First of all if we are out of fellowship with God the only prayer that He hears is a prayer of repentance. If we are in fellowship with God His three answers to prayer are yes, no, or not yet. Remember, all things in God’s time are better then anything in our time.

God doesn’t answer prayers because of us, He answers prayers for His name sake.
