In Matt. 12:34-35, Jesus said that what’s in a person’s heart is what comes out of him. So consider this: Who’s responsible for what goes in your heart? You are. You’re the only one my brothers and sisters, who can put God’s Word into your heart. Your friends can’t do it for you. Your parents can’t do it for you. Your pastor can’t do it for you. Even God can’t do it for you. God has already done His part to help you. He’s the One who made your heart a place that could store His promises. He’s the One Who opened your heart to His Word. As the Scripture says, “God has dealt to each one (the) measure of faith” (Romans 12:3). The moment you made Jesus your Lord, He put faith in your heart, but you’re the only one who can make that faith stronger.
