How can I cope with my sense of abandonment?

Sometimes my sense of abandonment is very troublesome, could you help me out?

I think everyone has suffered the trauma of abandonment in some form. Maybe your parent left for a different life. Maybe it was your spouse. Or friends. Or your church. Maybe abandonment knocked the wind out of you or maybe you just fear it like a hurricane is headed your way at some point but you don’t know when.

But compared with the problem, try to change your focus to God, He is with you, and He will never abandon you. He can heal our pain in the past and gives us comfort in every difficult circumstances.

Establishing a close, intimate relationship with God is the answer for overcoming abandonment, because He alone can be trusted completely to look out for us and never leave or forsake us. We must make a covenant with Him.
