How can we study Paul to love God?
How can we study Paul’s love for God?
Romans 11 is a good place to read about this. Most especially verses 32-36
32 For God has shut up all in disobedience so that He may show mercy to all.
33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways! 34 For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who became His counselor? 35 Or who has first given to Him that it might be paid back to him again? 36 For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.
All the book of Romans would be where I would go to study Paul’s love for God first.
However, you can see Paul’s love for God in every Epistle he wrote.
Romans, Corinthians (twice), Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, Thessalonians (twice) and to individuals such as Timothy (twice), Titus and Philemon.
Paul has so much to learn from his life.He not only gave himself wholly to God, but also to the people whom God loved.I think it’s really hard for us to sum up in one or two sentences to answer this question. We can spend more time meditating on Paul’s life, getting to know the God he knew, experiencing the love of God he experienced, and understanding the roots of his faith. When we know him deeply, we will connect with him in life and live as he lives. I think we do not imitate him from the surface, but from the heart to recognize his way and learn from him.
