How much should we give to the church?

In 2 Corinthians 9:7, we read, “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”

How much should we purpose on our hearts?

Malachi 3:10 says, “Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house.” .The church is today’s “storehouse,” and God commands that we return a full tithe to Him

Aside from what Malachi 3:10 requests of us, which is our tithe, what you purpose in your heart to give as offering is not fixed but rather dependent on you and your heart. The Lord values our offerings but He values the spirit and heart behind our offerings even more. If you find that you have no desire to give any offerings you should evaluate your relationship with the Lord and ask yourself why you feel no inclination to support His work. This is not to say that not giving offerings makes you a bad Christian, however, disgruntlement about money given to God’s work could be symptomatic of deeper problems in your relationship with God. On the whole, remember there is no minimum or maximum ammount for that matter, just a requirement that you love and enjoy giving to the Lord for He loves a cheerful giver.

It is really up to you…It doesn’t really matter “how much” as long as it is heartily given.
