Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up. James 4:10
God has great expectations for our lives, and gives us guidance of how to live. He wants us to live up to the responsibility He has given to each one. We need to live a good, honest and righteous life, honouring God by obeying His will and His commands. We need to be loyal to Him and honour all people, not behaving in a reprehensible way. God does not want to see sin in our lives and He will turn way if we continually live in that state. As we turn towards Him He will accept us back and forgive the sins that we have committed. God is not a vengeful God. He wants us to live holy and responsible lives. As we strive to do so God will help us achieve what He has set before us. Give God your life! Turn your back on sin and evil and live a wholly loving, caring and faithful life.
Hello @FaithinGod God cares for us. He is mighty. He calls us to humble ourselves under Him. Not because He is a controlling God that wants you to bow down to Him because you are nothing, but rather because He wants to exalt us and care for us. As we humble ourselves, that is when we truly worship Him. We’re trusting Him with what’s going on in our lives and believing He is the provider instead of ourselves.
We should come before God with an open heart. It doesn’t matter what you are feeling at the moment, he wants to know everything about you. We should be honest because He can see your heart, He already knows even if you don’t tell him. He just wants it to come from you, as he carries your burdens for you.
