If God tells you to do something horrible like he did with Abraham and “Son of Sam” would you do it?

Hi! I saw this question on the internet and I just wanted to know some of your opinions regarding this matter.

If God tells you to do something horrible like he did with Abraham and “Son of Sam” would you do it? Or rather, wouldn’t you think that this order can’t be from God, God is good, and this is an awful thing to do.

that may difficult, follow Jesus is not that easy, some times you should do what you don’t want to do .

Hi Kianna! For me, It will always go back to the level of the personal intimacy relationship with our God.

For me, Obedience to HIM is really non negotiable.
As Jesus says if you love me, you will obey me.
It is impossible to please God without faith.
Obedience completes faith.

We know the voice of God is really the one who is speaking to us because as Jesus says “My sheep listen to my voice, I know them, and they follow me”

WE can finally confirm the voice of God by the WORD or the bible. So we will go back to our daily walk with God or journey wherein we are used to be in God’s presence, prayer and reading and meditating the word.

So given that we are in the state of seriously walking and enjoying our intimate relationship with our GOD.

We can always trust God’s attribute that He is LOVE.
So his will is always based on who He is and that is love and holy and so on of his attributes.
When He is asking something from me or to do, it is always for His glory.

There are many times, that I received instruction from Him that is beyond my understanding and analytical mind. So what happened, I usually argue with God and ask the many whys but at the end of many reasonings and logical thinking, I STILL OBEY.

As I obey those I think illogical instruction and choose to obey and trust Him, I’ve come to know HIM more, like personal revelations of who He is and what he is doing.

Like clarity comes in obedience.
And He reveal to me that I need to give up my understanding as He is revealing to me what does Proverbs 3:5-6 means To trust Him is to give up my right to understand. As I gave up that my right to understand. No more arguing to God but I keep obeying Him. My goal right now is to obey Him as quickly as possible.

To Obey GOD is to Know HIM.

God will only allow that which you are capable of handling. He also confirms this through his word. You, therefore, never need to worry about anything when a challenge comes your way because he is able to provide a solution. In other words, we only need to embrace a different way of thought while looking at such situations as a blessing because of how they are only intended to take us to the next level.
