Father’s Day was never a good day for me. Because my dad had sexually abused me for years, I spent a lot of time being angry and bitter. But with God’s loving help, I gradually came to the realization that I needed to make a choice to forgive him, even though it seemed impossible. We never had a close relationship, but I was able to forgive my dad. Before his death, I was blessed to lead him to accept Jesus as his Savior and had the privilege of baptizing him. Even though Satan stole what should have been a normal, loving relationship between a father and his daughter, God brought restoration and healing.

And he can do that for you too! I know Father’s Day can be a difficult day for many of you and I understand how you feel. But I also have seen God move in big ways in my life and in the life of my father. So keep praying and know that I am praying with you.” -Joyce
This is wonderful. It warms my heart seeing people change their old bad ways and go to the Lord. Seeing people glow up spiritually is beautiful. It is very nice when you know God has amazing plans for that person. That really excites me.
