Jesus died for to save us because we could have never saved ourselves. Jesus took our wrath and punishment to set us free from the chains of sin and evil. Jesus stepped out of Heaven and into flesh on a mission to bring mankind back to the relationship that man was meant to have with God before the fall in the garden. Though it was bloody and brutal, the death of Jesus brings beauty to the lives of those who call on His Name.
But he was pierced because of our rebellion, crushed because of our iniquities; punishment for our peace was on him, and we are healed by his wounds.
