Sitting down, the Twelve called Jesus and said, restore us, Lord God Almighty; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved. Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. Dear friends, if anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.” When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next. Truly I tell you, you will not reach all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes. A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. It is enough for a disciple to be like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebul, how much more the members of his household!
