My cousin is self-righteous so we avoid her. Is this bad?

My cousin is very religious and keeps telling us how we need to change, but to be honest most of our family avoids her because we don’t like her self-righteous, “holier-than-thou” attitude. She’s always lecturing us because we don’t do things exactly the way she thinks we should, and we get tired of it. Are we wrong?

I saw this kind of people. I think you can first check your life, if there’s something, correct it, if not, don’t take your cousin’s words too seriously.

For this issue, I think that we should distinguish the sin and the humans. We should never tolerate the sin but we should love the person.

It’s easy for us to become self-righteous, only when we know our sin deeply, we can realize how sinful we are. Jesus Christ has shown us the real righteousness, so that we can know the sin deeply. I think a humble life is the most effective way to help others to know their pride.
