Protestant and Catholic: What's the Difference?

As the 500th anniversary of the Reformation draws near, it’s important to be conversant with some of the main issues that legitimately divide us, lest we think all the theological hills have been laid low and all the dogmatic valleys made into a plain.

This article talks about the difference between protestant and catholic in the church, scripture, lord’s supper, baptism, Mary, purgatory, merit, and justification.

Are there other differences between Protestant and Catholic? Do these differences matter?

HUGE differences. Just on the surface, Christians pray to Jesus Christ, the Lord of Lords and King of Kings, our Savior.

Catholics pray to Mary, Christ’s earthly mother who died and was buried like all other mortals around 2,000 years ago.

See below link, for more information (I have found it very educational as well as instructive! Also, pleasantly, the speaker has actually educated himself on not only what is written in the Catholic cannon but also what Catholic Experts - who are Catholic leaders - have written on what Catholicism believes! In other words, this is not an opinion piece!)
