Remind the believers of these things, do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so; God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. That all of them may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I am in You. May they also be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. I have given them the glory You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one. I in them and You in Me—that they may be perfectly united, the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom, and continues to do so—not being a forgetful hearer, but an effective doer—he will be blessed in what he does so that the world may know that You sent Me and have loved them just as You have loved Me. Charging them before God to avoid quarreling over words, which succeeds only in leading the listeners to ruin. This Book of the Law must not depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it for then you will prosper and succeed in all you do an unashamed workman who accurately handles the word of truth. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season, whose leaf does not wither, and who prospers in all he does for his delight is in the Law of the LORD, and on His law he meditates day and night. Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, or set foot on the path of sinners, or sit in the seat of mockers. I have hidden Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You. Make every effort to present yourself approved to God, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus and I am with you in spirit, along with the power of the Lord Jesus, hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the Day of the Lord. And avoid irreverent, empty chatter, which will only lead to more ungodliness, Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven works through the whole batch of dough? Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and every expression of evil, and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save your souls. Be doers of the word, and not hearers only. Otherwise, you are deceiving yourselves for anyone who hears the word but does not carry it out is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror, for anyone who hears the word but does not carry it out is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror, and after observing himself goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom, and continues to do so—not being a forgetful hearer, but an effective doer—he will be blessed in what he does.
