Romans 12:1 Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship

Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on the cushion. We were tossed so violently that the next day the men began to jettison the cargo. / On the third day, they threw the ship’s tackle overboard with their own hands. / When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the great storm continued to batter us, we abandoned all hope of being saved. So they woke Him and said, “Teacher, don’t You care that we are perishing?” “Lord,” said Thomas, “we do not know where You are going, so how can we know the way?” But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid! For behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people: Today in the city of David a Savior has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord! And this will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would know My Father as well. From now on you do know Him and have seen Him.” Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you and surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Then the LORD hurled a great wind upon the sea, and such a violent storm arose that the ship was in danger of breaking apart. The sailors were afraid, and each cried out to his own god. And they threw the ship’s cargo into the sea to lighten the load. But Jonah had gone down to the lowest part of the vessel, where he lay down and fell into a deep sleep. The captain approached him and said, “How can you sleep? Get up and call upon your God. Perhaps this God will consider us, so that we may not perish.” Then Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and the sea. “Silence!” He commanded. “Be still!” And the wind died down, and it was perfectly calm. “Why are you so afraid?” He asked. “Do you still have no faith?” I saw the Lord standing beside the altar, and He said: “Strike the tops of the pillars so that the thresholds shake. Topple them on the heads of all the people, and I will kill the rest with the sword. None of those who flee will get away; none of the fugitives will escape. Though they hide themselves atop Carmel, there I will track them and seize them; and though they dig down to Sheol, and though they hide from Me at the bottom of the sea, from there My hand will take them; and though they climb up to heaven, from there I will pull them there down and I will command the serpent to bite them. Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling save others by snatching them from the fire; and indeed, have mercy on those who doubt; and to still others show mercy tempered with fear, hating even the clothing stained by the flesh to present you unblemished in His glorious presence, with great joy
