The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
