Should Our Church Go Into Debt for a New Building?

Our church just started a campaign to raise money for a new building. I haven’t said anything, but I don’t see anything wrong with our old building. They say we need it to attract new people, but I’d rather keep things the way they are. I don’t like the idea of going into debt either (which we may have to do). Am I wrong?

I think every member of the Church can express their opinion. But finally there should be a conclusion. And in the process, the most important thing is to seek God’s will, because Jesus Christ is the head of the Church. If it is His will, being in debt is not a big deal. Saving souls is very urgent.

Debt is not good while the church leaders say that they should be kept away from the evil world.
That’s a little funny.
