Sin is serious, but most people don’t take it seriously. Instead it is ignored because of our natural refusal to recognize it. That’s human nature because most people do things based on how they FEEL and their personal beliefs about morality, right, and wrong, and not about what actually is RIGHT or WRONG.
But what exactly is SIN?
It is an impulse to DO, SAY, or ACT a certain way
Based on what we Think will make us happy.
Sin always begins with a seed in the heart which develops into temptation, and when we feed that seed it wants to rule you and control your decisions. That’s why we must take direct measures to recognize these sinful impulses when they happen and deal with them before they fully bloom.
For example, adultery doesn’t just ‘Happen.’ It is a slowly increasing chain of sin-to-sin thinking that usually starts innocent enough like, “Wow, that person is very attractive.” Next, you feed that thought until it escalates and the before you know it you’re DESIRE overcomes your DECISION. Although you know deep down what you are doing is not right, going in the Wrong Direction will eventually lead to a bad end.
Jesus said In Matthew 5:29, “If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.” He didn’t mean literally cut out your eye, but cut out and turn away from the sin your eye is focusing on. So while sin might be FUN, it is not your FRIEND. As Jesus warns us, for those who have not repented it is an eternal death sentence and all those that do not seek Him to forgive their sins are in serious trouble.
That’s why we need divine help us turn away from sin and that is through the Savior, Jesus Christ. When Christ is directing your life you will have, as Psalm 58:1 says “A new heart created inside you.” When we sincerely desire to refrain from sin the Lord will help keep us from falling, But You Must Make That CHOICE.
Friend, God loves you so very much and He does not want you to perish, If you are not yet a believer in Christ please give your life over to Christ and freely seek his forgiveness today and he will take your past and everything you may have done wrong and wash you clean and white as snow.
Sin is always Destructive,
But Repentance is Constructive!.
It is your decision Which Direction you will go.
