“STAND STILL, AND SEE THE SALVATION OF THE LORD”
EXODUS 14:13,14
Moses told the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord” (v. 13). This was an acid test for the children of Israel. Was God’s promise to be trusted? They would not know for sure until they were totally surrounded by water and Pharaoh’s armies were bearing down on them.
Moses told them to surrender their unbelief and totally believe that God would perform a miracle for them, and He did. God delivered Israel through the Red Sea. The children of Israel had a real problem with unbelief just like people do today. They were constantly doubting whether or not God would perform the miraculous.
