This song is written by Mark Hall and Stephen Curtis Chapman. Mark Hall shares what inspired him to write this song.
He describes two different atmospheres which many of us can relate to. It is an atmosphere where you feel that you are the only one that is different in this whole group and you feel left out and abandoned. One the the atmospheres for him was his school where he felt he was secluded and he cannot make it. Second atmosphere could shock you - it is the church. He felt everyone around him didn’t have any problems and were living a perfect life and he was the only one that was struggling.
This song says that when such voices come out from satan, the voice of truth which is the voice of God in you says a different story.
