The Folly of Asking God for Forgiveness

The Folly of Asking God for Forgiveness
Col 3:3 says it as concisely as is possible - You have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
If it bothers you to hear that you’re born again ‘in the spirit,’ because it doesn’t seem substantial enough, think of yourself as an apple seed. As a pure human, that’s all you are.
Coming to Christ by faith is confessing that you have died. Baptism is exhibiting your burial and resurrection. This is Christ’s way. Is it too simple for you? Sorry. It’s all pitiful acts you carry out in your pitiful apple-seed flesh, but God Almighty honors them.
So, by the Spirit, your spirit (the part that isn’t going to die and turn to dust in a little while) is begotten of God. It’s the only part of your life that matters to God, who is the only one who matters. Your invisible soul is attached, by the way - your mind, will and emotions.
The inconvenient fact that your temporary soul ‘container’ is still alive means that you witness, daily, what Christ Jesus took out of your way by dying and shedding His precious blood.
Asking for forgiveness is as unnecessary as asking God to make you wet while you’re swimming. NO Bible verse even suggests that you should ever ask God your Father for forgiveness.
1 John 1:9 says if you confess ‘that you have’ sin, He is faithful and righteous to forgive and cleanse you from ALL unrighteousness. This is what you did when you were first drawn to God by the Spirit. He convicted you of your sinful state. You agreed (confessed) and trusted Christ to save you. But, He did much more than that.
You live out your earthly life in your doomed-to-die earthly body, seeing first-hand what sins you were saved from. What should you do when you sin? Rejoice, of course! Thank Jesus for the cleansing and removing of that sin which He already accomplished for you. There should be so much more rejoicing and SO much less groveling and begging for forgiveness every day by believing saints who have been misinformed by preachers who, for money, scare their parishioners into giving more money, and coming back next week for more ‘vital instruction.’ church-going is a waste of time
Anyway, back to you as a resurrected apple seed. Did you as a seed ever envision that there was a whole fruit-bearing tree inside of you? This is your invisible spirit, and you thought it was insignificant. It’s not insignificant. It’s a member of the very body of the very God who created all life, and wanted more than anything to have a like-minded, like-natured wife and companion who loved Him of her own choice, and heart, and soul, and mind, and strength.
YOU, dear one, are THE MOST precious and valuable treasure that God possesses; His own begotten children, a species the same as His first-born Son, ready willing and able to marry Him for eternity. And where His treasure is, there His heart is also.
Read your own Bible, seek your own Savior and Husband, know Him by His direct enlightening through the Spirit who indwells your being as His home. You don’t need any human teaching you about your own Husband-to-be - 1 John 2:27. He will see to you getting to know Him. He will raise you, mature you, correct and discipline you, perfecting you until you meet each other on Reward Day (what some call Judgement Day), and marry.
Long-and-Short - Don’t ask forgiveness every day. Thank Him for forgiveness every day, and focus on becoming a perfectly in-tune member of His body, of which He and only He is the head.
