WBFN “Precious Freedom!”

Our glorious flag, waving high,
Is a reminder to me
Of all those who suffered and died…
That we might live and be free.
How could we thank our servicemen
For the high price they have paid?
Bravely they have gone to battle,
And, some, their very lives gave…
Our nation’s freedom to save…
It is Precious Freedom!

The rugged Cross of Calvary
Is a reminder to me
Of He who suffered and died…
That we might live and be free.
How could we ever thank our LORD
For the high price He has paid?
So willingly—once and for all—
His pure, sinless life He gave…
Lost souls to free and to save…
O what Precious Freedom!

“ Therefore if the Son makes you free,
you shall be free indeed.”
John 8:36

“For to be free is not merely to cast off
one’s chains, but to live in a way that
respects and enhances the freedom of
others.” Nelson Mandela
