There is debate about what should be said at baptism
Do we follow Jesus’s last command and baptise in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost or do we do as Peter did and baptise in the name of Jesus?. Who has the greater authority? Peter was of course addressing the Jews who had just crucified Jesus and would already have been baptised for remission of sins by John the Baptist. Some say that Jesus’s name is equivalent to the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost but each word is capitalised and means God Almighty, Jesus and the Holy Ghost only. Revelation warns us not to change the scriptures and the penalty for doing so. Will Jesus condemn us because we followed his command? Just a few thoughts on a devisive topic!

Baptism will not save you, so what ever is said it will not make the outward sign of an inward event moot. This should not be something that is divisive.
