“To prepare yourself for ministry you need to go to Seminary.” True or False? Explain why.

A whole bunch of people say that we can minister within any profession God calls us to. But for most careers you would need to go to college and even grad school in quite different fields than a seminary education. So is it better to give up on one’s interests and become a pastor in order to serve Jesus? Or should I first enter into a career and then later add on either some Bible College or Seminary? Or just completely forget about the seminary, because you don’t need a degree for anything, you just need a personal relationship with Jesus and the word of God in your mouth?

Curious what everyone here thinks about this.

I do not think so. God has many ways for one purpose. Also, it depends on what ministry you will serve in. If you plan to be a bible teacher, a pastor, it is very helpul for you to go to seminary. However if you want to do other ministry, God may lead you on other position. Whatsoever, follow the guidance of God to prepare yourself.

Fause.

Going to seminary is very helpful for you to prepare to be a pastor, but if you want to do other ministry, God can train you in other ways, not seminary.

If you don’t go to seminary, you can also witness the Gospel. but if you go to seminary, it is good for us. we learn more about God for ourselves and for God 's people.
