We are living in the last days, and people are focused on non-profitable question. Are you living your life according to God’s word. Have you repented of your sins? Are you spreading the Gospel?
False, Jesus is God’s perfect image. We were wonderfully and fearfully made IN his image but have fallen short due to sin. Jesus redeems us and makes us perfect by faith though, restoring what we were created to be, thank you Jesus!
So many misunderstanding what it means to be in the image of God.Only one man was created in the image of God. After the fall of man. I can’t see how this means anything other than we were made for the purpose of serving God. We were made in His “legacy.” We were made in His “love.” We are made in His “wisdom.” I don’t think the word ‘image’ was ever meant to be the takeaway. It’s an ownership claim. We ARE His CHILDREN.
Scripture says we are in the image of God. The question is what is Gods image. John tells us that God is Love, so if God is love, His image must be love. So being created in the image of God, is that he Created us out of love and live became part of us. Yes, this perfect love was corrupted by sin. What separates humanity from the balance of creation, humans have the unique ability to love. Other animals can care but for true love only us. Now for the flip side, along with love, we are also the only part of Gods creation that can hate. Love Comes from God, hate comes from Satan
