WBFN "They See You"

if you let Him

“They See You”
My husband was recently talking to a guy who had been involved
in a documentary on sharks. While my husband loves a good shark
story, I am more than happy to distance myself from sharks as
much as possible.
This gentleman used to surf all the time and was surprised when
the documentary was to be set in one of his regular surfing spots.
He was polite enough but explained to the documentary team that he
surfed in that area all the time but had never seen a shark.
The documentary team laughed at him.
“You don’t see them, but they see you!” It turns out that his
surfing spot was one of the most popular shark fishing
areas around!
Isn’t it interesting, this whole idea that things can see
you but you are none the wiser to them being there.
That’s often how people treat God. He is always there, always
watching, always attentive. And yet people don’t stop to look
around to notice Him. And it’s not just non-Christians who
pass God by.
We can get so busy and preoccupied that we often don’t
acknowledge where God is in our lives. Throughout the
Bible God connected with people on many different levels.
In their times of victory and jubilation as well as in the times
of deepest grief and fear. He does that same for us today.
Do not allow God to pass you by. He is there for you.

Lord, thank you for your love and faithfulness. May
we always look to you in all situations. Amen.
Where have you noticed God lately?
