We are not seeking to imitate Christ Jesus, we are made a part of Christ. He is the Head and we are the very body of Christ. In another place it says He is the Vine and you are the branches. Just drink from this Fountain of Life. Drink strength, joy, patience, love, happiness, comfort righteousness, obedience, grace, truth, etc
2 Peter 1…you are given all things that pertain to life and godliness.
We are made in God’s image and likeness. We are born christlike in nature. We are deeply rooted in Him. However, growing up here on earth surrounded with different types of people takes away our God given nature and replace it with worldly characteristics. But as we go back in tuned with our creator, our hearts change and we are slowly molded into who we really are in Christ. He will not let go of us, he will not leave us empty handed. He will surely restore us like in the parable of the prodigal son.
