Repentance - is the first step we take to receive the salvation that God offers to us in the Lord Jesus Christ. What true repentance is - 1. Being Sorry To God For Your Sin.- true repentance is a sorrow not just toward one’s self, or toward another person, but first and foremost it is true sorrow toward God.

Repentance is a process and not something that happens at one particular abrupt moment. It requires consistency. If you repent, do it sincerely because it will not mean anything if you keep doing what you are sorry for. So always mean and be sincere as always.
Many understand the term repentance to mean “a turning from sin.” Regretting sin and turning from it is related to repentance, but it is not the precise meaning of the word. In the Bible, the word repent means “to change one’s mind.” The Bible also tells us that true repentance will result in a change of actions (Luke 3:8–14; Acts 3:19). The full biblical definition of repentance is a change of mind that results in a change of action.
Repentance is one of the requirements for the remission of sins.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
In the bible, we can read that God also repent. Does that mean that God, committed sin? No, it only means that God changed His intended action.
Jeremiah 26:13 Therefore now amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will repent him of the evil that he hath pronounced against you.
In other translation it says:
then the Lord will let himself be turned from the decision he has made against you for evil.
So in this case, repentance only means change of mind and intended action.
So how do we change our mind? Paul gave the answer in Romans 12
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Rom 12:9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
Rom 12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
Rom 12:11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
Rom 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
Rom 12:13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
Rom 12:14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
Rom 12:15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
Rom 12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
Rom 12:17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
Rom 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Repentance is when you have ask for forgiveness of your sins to the lord. Everyone must repent and reflect to their sins. We live, we make mistakes and we repent. Second coming of jesus christ is coming nearer as we observe how natures react to humanity nowadys.
Hi! Repentance is acknowledging your wrongdoings, ask forgiveness to the Lord God, and change for the better. The past few weeks have been hard on me and my family, trying to open up with each other, since we do not talk much about what we are going through personally. We discussed repentance and how we all promised the Lord and one another on how we will change for the better. It’s refreshing to be able to open up to them. 
For me the meaning of repentance is Change everyday not only once but daily. repentance is not only cry and pray to the Lord for forgiveness you need to prove to the Lord that you have a new life and never came back to your life without Jesus. we can do nothing God is only the way to change our life
