What kind of attitude should we have when we read bible?

To apply everything we read and learn to our own lives. When we see the events of the Bible as irrelevant to us individually, it does not affect us as much.

An attitude of gratitude to God for His Holy Word that is in our hands. Thankfulness for God’s faithfulness to us. A desire to learn as we read. Ask God to send His Holy Spirit to enlighten us and to convict us of sin and to correct our paths to follow Christ, not the world.

Any and all of these attitudes are good. God is more Holy than any of us can even imagine. So if one can keep that in mind while reading too, it helps.
