The only time Job’s friends helped him was when they were quiet and just “there” for him. When they opened their mouths, they tried to “help” Job by pointing the finger of blame. And not only was that an inappropriate thing to do, they were WRONG! God was angry with them because they were helping themselves to understand rather than being the “community” Job needed to see him through this crisis!

I agree with you the only time Job’s friends helped him was when they were quiet and just “there” for him. Because they can’t have empathy to Job.
God got angry with Job’s three friends because they had the mind of retribution for sin. To some degree, it’s right. But God surpasses all this, the righteous man can also experience suffering. It representative Jesus.
