With much time on our hands these days I wrote a poem to the Lover of my soul

It’s a blessing that we can spend time alone in prayer and relationship with God. All glory to You Lord!

Oh this, oh this is luxury!
To sit upon the lap of Thee
Nuzzled in to your chest
Comforted by thy Royal breast

Here you sing over me
Here is where I finally see
You stroke my hair, you kiss my head
My soul, my soul is no longer dead

I finally found my destiny
I finally found Life in Thee
You made your home inside my heart
So we will never ever part

With you, with you I will always be
From now into eternity
Everlasting gratitude
I will ever owe to You

I hear Your heart, I feel Your breath
You give Life, away you death!
Overflowing with Love divine
You are making out of me new wine

Peace and joy; Love so sweet
This is the place where we meet
You fill my cup, you feed my soul
Only by You I’m made whole

All of me all to you
By Your grace I’m made new
Seated on the throne above
Looking down on us with Love

Oh that they thought You were dead!
But, Your precious Love ran red
You came, now all is rewritten
With you, I’ll forever be smitten

So it is, when I rest upon your chest
It is here, I find my Rest

Hello, dear @Christian_Topics
This was a lovely poem, I felt my heart smile inside. My favorite parte was this:
“Peace and joy; Love so sweet
This is the place where we meet
You fill my cup, you feed my soul
Only by You I’m made whole”
We always say it, but I like to repeat every time I can, the Lord is love, he’s the joy that feeds our soul and our hearts, only by really accepting his truth in our heart we can be complete.
Kind regards, Luis Guerrero

Hey pal, this is such a heart-felt poem! I particularly like these lines:

because these lines represent something physical that’s relatable to me. It’s like saying that whenever you feel down, discouraged, and all, a comfort from the one who loves you genuinely can revitalize your spirit. The Lord indeed is our comfort. You perfectly capture this in your lovely poem. Thank you so much for sharing!
